Where The Money Goes

CCDA > CCDA Projects

Since the beginning of riverboat gambling in this area in 1991, the Clinton County Development Association (CCDA) has awarded more than $29 million dollars to deserving county organizations. The CCDA’s purpose is to provide financial assistance through grant programs for communities and local charities that provide an improved overall vitality and quality of life in Clinton County, through their educational, social, cultural, and environmental programs and initiatives.

Organizations propose individual projects that are independently rated by our Board Members. Those projects that capture the hearts, minds, and imagination tend to receive a greater proportion of funding. In 2020, close to $1 Million was awarded to non-profit organizations through grants, pledges, and scholarships. These dollars can be seen throughout Clinton County providing improvements to services that enhance the lives of residents.

Examples of projects include: ADA Compliant and Inclusive Playgrounds at Calamus/Wheatland Community Schools and Eagle Heights Elementary in Clinton; new Brush Truck for Wheatland Fire Dept. and a Rescue Truck for Delmar Volunteer Fire Dept.; Improvements for Low Moor Ball Park; and Restroom Facility at Central DeWitt Community School District.

The CCDA proudly supports a diverse selection of Clinton County non-profit organizations, and all of these projects add to the already impressive list of projects partially funded by CCDA dollars.

CCDA is the non-profit license holder for the Wild Rose Casino and distributes a percentage of profits from Wild Rose to surrounding non-profit organizations.
